The mill pond is a very attractive stretch of water, with its many water birds, it is part of the River Mun, which rises in a lake at Northrepps Hall and runs out to sea at Mundesley. The area beyond the river is said to have been part of the 'Stew-Pond', the fish breeding place of a small monastary.

The Mill
This photo was taken 23/9/2000
A mill is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. The last one which is shown in the drawing, was built in the 18th century of flint, brick and pantiles.
It was burnt down during the night of February 15th, 1979 and has since been rebuilt as a dwelling. The pit for the original water wheel still remains, as does the old Engine, which provided power after the use of water power ceased.
